We are using K2 and are using the Joomla site as a front end to explain Dolphin 7 . We are starting a web site to promote the Dolphin .Project. We have placed articles on all our web sites telling about
Dolphin 7. We feel that it is possible to integrate Dolphin with
other existing web sites out there so people can now offer an
expanded web presents using Dolphin. We are still in the development
stage of our Dolphin Site and are still in the learning phase. If
anyone out there has been successful with using Dolphin as a hybrid
with other CMS platforms please comment on your experiences.

I visited your website, visited your Dolphin7 website and saw all incredible video-Demos out there.
I liked all what I see and a head about trying Dolphin7 right now, to see the inner and outer possibilities. I think this is the most complete, easy to administrate community ever.

thanks for your interest ( Followeyes ) I have been learning more about dolphin and found that it is not strong in display and presentation of regular articles and content that is why using a front end such as joomla or an other CMS works well and leaving the part as the social community to Dolphin. The K2 community is an example of just that Ning is a pre-made configuration for a community similar to Dolphin except it is done on your server not Ning or say Facebook, dolphin allows users to show content to only friends or other levels of users the user of the community can chat in real time one on one and other features. It takes many components in joomla to create a community and some of the components may not work well together. Bottom line if you want to have a presentation of information joomla works best. Then if you want to let users communicate one on one with one install dolphin is capable of providing all social features in on shot. Still learning but I see the potential it is a Diamond in the Ruff.

Whatever is done will modify the core, but will work.
How about putting the category id's in a field like the xtra filelds and teach the core to parse them out.
Its changing the way things work - not likely to happen unless a module like followeyes…
I don't think the concept of the single-category per item content structure is a way of thinking that is advanced and, therefore, a reason to change the content construction strategy and our subsequent way of thinking. It is merely a huge limitation…
2. if you are trying to remove a video from an item in the backend, click on the video tab scroll to the bottom and check delete currrent and save

There is a problem with excess of free space between 'itemListSubCategories' and 'itemList'. It seems to be derving from div class 'itemlistsubcategories' Please see the image attached. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Via CSS?Thanks!
you can get the extra fields like this if it suits your needs
$custom = $this->item->extra_fields;
and then addressing extra fields for the item like
echo $custom[1]->value; depending on the position, 0, 1,2,3,4 etc in the array

Did you ever find out how to put one single extra field (not the whole bunch...) a different place than at the bottom of the article?
This means we need to have a way to identify this particular field and add the code for it…
